The Roller coaster
I am waiting in line for the large roller coaster
That my friend has been on a thousand times
(he’s a huge boaster)
And now it is finally our turn
And even as it starts
My stomach starts to churn
UP,UP,UP,UP
up the big hill
Then down down down down
I shout with thrill
A corkscrew, loop-the-loop, twist and more
When it’s over I fall screaming too the floor
“That was so scary”
I scream at my friend
Oh My God! Oh My God! lets go again!
^THE ROLLERCOASTER^
NOOOOOOOO
NOOO you can’t make me
I never will go
It’s the worst thing in the world
My answer is no
Even if you Bribe me
With donuts galore
even if you spank me
until I am sore
I’ve already told you
I won’t go
to this pointless and boring
history show
Poemstory
A boy goes down in history
so does a girl go down herstory
and a baby in babystory
and a child in childstory
and if this poem becomes famous,
will it go down in poemstory?
The Story
There was a man
whose name was Dan
He went to his house
and sat on a mouse
The mouse went squeak
and he went eek!
He bought a cat
and the cat grew fat
The man learned to rap
With the cat on his lap
The man grew to fame
And the cat did the same
A the cat had a kitten
Who was the size of a mitten
And when that cat died
The whole world cried
But the kitten became a cat
And soon grew quite fat
And listened to Dan Rap
While on his lap
One happy man with a cat that is fat
On happy man, loving his cat
Trees
In summer they stand
Straight and tall
all dressed in green and brown
Showing off their beauty
In summer’s perfect gown
In fall, they change their colors
From green, to orange, then red
And all their bravery falls to the ground
In fear of what lies ahead
In winter they droop
In a blanket of white
Sparkling sorrows cover their soul
And overhead they are passed
By a flying white patrol
In spring they regain their colors
Their sorrows will melt away
As they get a little greener
Each and every day
A Week of Wonder (Walden West Memoir Poem)
A boring, long trip
a cramped bus ride,
all that I wanted
was room to stride
and as I left the bus
I thought aloud
this seems exciting
to the roaring crowd
We split into two
and then into four
and we were off
on our campus tour
I saw all the cabins
and the twisted Scooby tree
and the hub and the health hut
and where our meals would be
quickly, quietly, questioningly
everyone went to see
who our cabinmates
would soon turn out to be
and after lunch I met Cedar
my favorite of the staff
he taught us during field class
and always made us laugh
Then Recess and dinner
my cabin was the hoppers
dinner was tacos
and I felt sorry for the moppers
then came the campfire
with songs and skits galore
We were laughing to our heart’s content
and begging them for more
and though the rest seems like a blur
and it was just the start
I already knew that this camp
would have a place inside my heart
The Explosion
My very first poem
My Father’s car exploded
I’m not sure what set it off
My dad opened the door
and it emitted a little cough
we heard a big explosion
and a bigger one later
we all went outside
and dad was fried like a tater
good thing no one saw me
mix those wires, green and red
cause if my mom had seen that
I’d be grounded till I was dead!
Ceiling Monkey
My second poem
There’s a monkey on the ceiling
That I noticed just today
and it is staring down at me
as if it wants to say
Get me a banana
Right now! Today!
I look up at him
and say he will have to pay
He tosses me a coin
and I find a banana in a cup
I throw it to him
and he gobbles it right up
Pranks
99 banana peels
lying on the floor
a bucket of water
sits atop the door
a giant whoopee cushion
on her favorite seat
some slimy gooey yogurt
in her soccer cleat
Some very small firecrackers
that look like pencil lead
all this for revenge
for the fake spider in my bed
Humpty Dumpty
Humpty dumpty sat on a wall
Humpty dumpty had a great fall
All the king’s horses and all the king’s men
Had scrambled eggs for breakfast
Again
Something
A.K.A. I was too lazy to write a real poem
There was a something
It somethinged a something
The something, well it somethinged
The something somethinged the something
The something got a something
The something somethinged the something with it’s something
And then there was nothing
At
This poem has AT in it 21 times
A fat cat sat on a bat on a mat
that cat had a hat saying STAT!!
Under the mat was a rat, squashed flat
The cat likes songs that go like: Cat on bat on mat on rat squashed flat
and under the rat? I don’t know that!
The Lollipop Stare
There once was a bear
In the lollipop stare
He left his lair
And fell through the air
And his hair went bare
Under the glare
Of the flare
Of the Hare
over there
And went on a quest
Of the better
Of the best
That was not lacking zest
And refused to rest
Till he found his nest
Through mountains
And Valleys
And streets
And alleys
And through a rally
In the search for his lair
And soon
That Bare bear
Reached the lollipop stare
and found all his hair
And that is the quest
Of the better
Of the best
That is not lacking zest
Of a bear, And his nest
Conquerer of the World
I’ll conquer the world
I’ll have a castle of emerald
Everyone, bow down to me
Or I’ll toss you in the sea
And I’ll have servants
To do my bidding
So I can have a drink wherever I’m sitting
And I’ll play video games whenever I like
And if you say no
Aww Go on a hike!
And if you rebell,
You will be pounded
But it will have to be tomorrow
Because today I’m grounded
Who?
I know that santa gives out toys
To all the good little girls and boys
But who gives the presents to kids that be bad
For after Christmas, they all seem less mad
Is it a monster? or santa’s evil twin?
How about godzilla? or the devil within?
It may even be a flesh eating manta
I sure hope that they actually do
Cause I know I’ll get coal from santa
This is what Happens when You Play WAY too many Video Games
Your brain turns to mush
And soon, so do you
Your eyeballs fall out
And turn into goo
Your legs turn to rubber
Your face gets all pale
And you start to
Look like a moldy, squished snail
Your nose gets all runny
It’s really not cool
But still, it’s much better
Than going to school
Waffles of a Starry Night
Starry night
Starry night
Eat a waffle
and take flight
Fly far, fly high
Because waffles are for to die
Land upon a waffle mill
Up atop a gentle hill
Watch them come out
Ready made
And dance upon the everglade
Eat them
Eat them
One by one
Eating waffles is such fun
Without waffles you will fall
For waffles are the best of all
A Blind Man’s Tale
Walking down a lonely road
All the way up high
For swimming through the ocean
Is like walking through the sky
Drifting by the planets
I’m blinded by the sun
And I learn that you don’t have to look
To see what you have done
The Snowman
My name is Snowman McSnail
I live in a garbage pail
I was built in the winter,
But it was too cold
So I hid in the trash can
So my temperature would hold
And now it is time to get out in the sun
For now that its spring
Its time for some fun
Now it is time to get out of my can
And run, jump, and play
And shout like a man
But I have got myself in a bit of a muddle
For I currently bask in the sun as a puddle
Potatoes Rule the World
I wrote this for a story I wrote with Evan
Potatoes rule the world
Cause beets make you hurl
Celery is too thin and tall
And peas are just too darn small
Potatoes are the perfect size
And we’re covered with eyes
Other veggies are too diverse
But potatoes rule the universe
Little Kittens
Little kittens purring purrs
Mewing happily in fuzzy furs
Eating, sleeping, they have it all
Even though so tiny small
Their dreams sustain them through the night
They love and purr with all their might
Kittens have you in their control
For a kittens love is powerful
